SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it can be alarmed regarding the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider issue created for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your SRD office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
